Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Version 1.0. In effect from the date it is published.
The Pantheon is operated by Invent Legacy LLC. In these Terms, we, us and Pantheon mean Invent Legacy LLC. You means you.

This is a real agreement and it is written to be read. If a section affects your money, your account or your legal rights, it says so in the heading. Nothing here is hidden in a wall of capitals.

1. You must be 18

Pantheon is for adults. You must be 18 or over to hold an account, to book a call, or to take one.

We ask for your date of birth when you join and you will not be able to create an account if it shows you are under 18. If you book a call without an account, you are asked to confirm your age before the call connects, and that confirmation is recorded against the booking.

We keep these records – your date of birth, or your confirmation, with the date and time – for as long as your account exists and for six years afterwards. They are kept because they are the proof that we asked, and they are not used for anything else.

Giving a false date of birth is a breach of these Terms. If we believe an account belongs to somebody under 18 we will close it, refund any unused balance, and keep no more of their information than the law requires us to.

2. What Pantheon is

Pantheon is a marketplace. Independent creators offer their time; you book it and pay for it by the minute. We provide the place, the booking, the phone connection and the payment handling.

We are not a party to the session itself. The conversation is between you and the creator. We do not supervise it, script it, script them, or guarantee anything about it beyond what these Terms say.

3. Creators are not our employees

This section matters to both sides and it is not decoration.

If you book a creator: that person is an independent creator, not our employee, agent, partner or representative. We do not control what they say, how they work, what hours they keep, or what they charge. We do not warrant their skill, their qualifications or their claims. Anything they tell you is theirs, not ours.

If you are a creator: you are an independent contractor. You are not our employee. You choose your own hours, your own rates within the limits of the platform, your own methods and your own words. We do not withhold tax, we do not provide benefits, insurance, sick pay, holiday pay or unemployment cover, and nothing in this agreement creates an employment relationship, a partnership, or a joint venture. You are responsible for your own taxes and for any licence or registration your work requires where you live. You may work elsewhere, including for anyone who competes with us.

4. Creators carry their own cover

If you are an approved creator, you are responsible for insuring your own work. We strongly recommend professional liability cover, sometimes sold as professional indemnity, and we may make it a condition of approval or of continuing to take bookings. Policies for readers and practitioners are widely available and inexpensive.

Our own insurance, if we hold any, covers us. It does not cover you, and it does not cover a claim made against you about your own work. A client who says your guidance harmed them is making a claim about what you said, not about the platform that connected the call.

You are also responsible for any licence, registration or local rule that applies to what you do where you live.

5. Readings are for entertainment

Everything offered on Pantheon is for entertainment purposes only.

Nothing said on a call, posted in a prediction, or written in a forum is medical, legal, financial, psychological or professional advice, and it must not be treated as a substitute for any of those. No outcome is promised or guaranteed.

If you are unwell, in crisis, or facing a legal or money decision, please speak to a qualified professional. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

6. Your account

One account per person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Give us real information. Do not impersonate anybody, and do not create a new account to get around a suspension.

7. Money, and exactly how charging works

Calls are charged by the minute. The rate is shown before you connect. A running total is on your screen throughout, and the same total is on the creator’s screen. You are charged for the time actually used, up to the amount you authorised when you booked.

We authorise, then we charge. When you book, your card is authorised for the maximum the session could cost. When the call ends, you are charged for what you used and the rest is released. Depending on your bank, a released authorisation can take a few days to disappear from your statement.

Pantheon takes a percentage. The percentage depends on the creator’s plan and is shown to them before they take a call. The rest goes to the creator. Payouts are handled by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s own terms and timing.

We never see or store your card. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own secure page and held by Stripe.

Prices can change. A creator may change their rate at any time. The rate that applies is the one shown when you book.

8. Refunds

Refunds are requested, not taken. If something went wrong with a session, open your Money panel, find the session, and press Not right? Refund me. Tell us what went wrong in a sentence or two. The request goes to a person.

How long it takes. We aim to answer every request within one business day, and we will never take longer than five business days to give you an answer. If we agree, the money goes back to the card you paid with, and your bank usually shows it within five to ten business days after that.

One at a time. You can have one refund request open at once. When we have answered it, you can raise another. This exists so that nobody can work through a whole history of sessions in one evening, and it is not meant to stop anybody with a genuine problem.

Asking costs you nothing. Raising a request never counts against you, whatever we decide. Only a refund we actually approve is recorded.

Subscriptions. Paid creator plans are refunded the same way – request it, tell us why, and a person decides. Within the first seven days of first choosing a paid plan we will normally refund it in full. After that, a plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops; we do not usually refund part of a period, but you can ask and we will read it.

What we will normally refund. A call that did not connect, a call cut short by a fault on our side, being charged for time you did not use, or a creator who did not turn up.

What we will normally decline. A completed session you simply did not enjoy or did not agree with, a reading whose outcome did not happen, or a disagreement about the content of a conversation you took part in. Section 5 explains why: this is entertainment, and an outcome is never promised.

9. Going to your bank instead

If you dispute a charge with your bank rather than asking us, it costs us the session, a fee whether the dispute is won or lost, and a mark against our account.

Please ask us first. We would rather refund you than pay a bank to take the money from us. If you raise a bank dispute without contacting us, we may suspend your account while it is resolved, and we may decline to serve you afterwards.

10. The integrity score and the points system

We keep a simple record of refunds and bank disputes on an account. It exists so that a pattern is visible, and so that action is consistent rather than moody.

  • An approved refund counts as one point.
  • A bank dispute counts as two points, because it costs us more.
  • Points stop counting after twelve months.
  • A request we decline counts as nothing at all.

As points build up:

  • Two points – you are asked to explain each further request in more detail.
  • Three points – no new bookings for seven days.
  • Four points – no new bookings for thirty days.
  • Six points – no new bookings until we have spoken.

None of this locks you out of your account. You keep your login, your history, the forums, the chat, and the ability to write to us. A pause stops you booking; it does not shut the door.

Creators have their own record, covering completed sessions, no-shows, refunds caused by their conduct, and reports from clients. We may pause a creator’s ability to take new bookings on the same basis.

11. How to behave

The Community Covenant is part of these Terms and you agree to it too. In short: no hate, no harassment, no threats, no sharing anyone’s private information, nothing sexual involving minors, no scams, no impersonation.

On top of that:

  • Do not take payment off Pantheon. Do not ask a client to pay you by any other method, and do not agree to it if asked. It removes every protection either side has and it is grounds for removal.
  • Do not share contact details in private messages to move a relationship off the platform. Phone numbers, email addresses and payment handles are hidden automatically.
  • Do not record a call without the other person’s clear agreement. Recording laws differ by state and some require everyone to consent. That is your responsibility, not ours.
  • Do not claim to be us. Creators are not spokespeople for Pantheon.

12. We may suspend or remove any account

We may suspend, restrict, deactivate or permanently remove any account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe it has broken these Terms or the Covenant, put somebody at risk, or been used to defraud us or anybody else.

For a serious matter – harm to a person, fraud, or anything involving a minor – the removal is immediate and permanent, and we may report it to the authorities.

If your account is removed, you keep any money already properly earned and settled. You lose access to the platform and to anything held in it. Creating a new account to get around a removal is itself a breach.

We may also stop offering Pantheon, in whole or in part, at any time.

13. What you post

You keep ownership of what you write, post and upload. You give us a licence to host it, display it and use it to run and promote the platform, for as long as you keep it on Pantheon and for a reasonable period afterwards in backups.

You are responsible for having the right to post what you post.

Predictions cannot be edited or deleted by the person who wrote them. That is the point of a public record, and it is explained before anything is posted.

14. What we are responsible for, and what we are not

Pantheon is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any call will connect. Phone networks, internet connections and browsers are outside our control.

We are not responsible for what happens on a call, for anything a creator says or does, or for any decision you make afterwards. Sections 3 and 5 explain why.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost opportunities or emotional distress. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Some states do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. If somebody sues us because of you

If a claim is brought against us because of something you did – what you posted, how you behaved, or breaking these Terms – you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses arising from it.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. Calls are connected through a telephone provider and are not recorded by us. Private messages are filtered automatically for contact details and payment handles; that filtering is done by software and nobody reads your messages as a matter of routine.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. When we do, we publish a new version number and ask you to agree again the next time you sign in. The change is summarised at the top of this page. If you do not agree, you may close your account.

18. Ending it

You may close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive – money owed, sections 14, 15, 19 and 20 – continue to apply afterwards.

19. Disputes: arbitration, and no class actions

Please read this section. It affects how any dispute between us is decided and it limits your right to go to court or to join a class action.

If we cannot sort something out directly, you and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Pantheon will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, administered by a recognised arbitration body under its consumer rules, and not in court.

No class actions. Claims are brought individually. You and we each waive any right to bring or take part in a class, collective or representative action, and an arbitrator may not combine claims from more than one person.

Small claims are excepted. Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court instead, if it qualifies. Either of us may also seek an injunction in court to stop misuse of intellectual property.

You can opt out, and you have 30 days. If you do not want this section to apply to you, write to us within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms, saying so and giving your account name. Opting out costs you nothing and changes nothing else about your account. If you opt out, disputes go to the courts described in section 20.

Arbitration takes place in Michigan, or remotely, or in your home state if you prefer.

20. Which law applies

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Where a dispute goes to court rather than arbitration, it will be heard in the state or federal courts of Michigan, and you and we both agree to that.

Nothing here takes away consumer rights that the law where you live does not allow to be taken away.

21. The rest

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not mean giving it up. These Terms, the Community Covenant and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us. You may not transfer your account; we may transfer this agreement if the business is sold.

22. Reaching us
